Port Chalmers (Otago Harbour) 9–11 hours alongside New Zealand

Dunedin is a cruise highlight on any South Island itinerary. Ships berth at Port Chalmers, 20 minutes from the city, and the harbour drive into town is itself a wildlife experience. The Otago Peninsula delivers the world's only mainland royal albatross colony, while the city centre offers Scottish heritage architecture and a strong food scene.
