What to do

Sunrise Yellow Water billabong cruise (crocs, jabirus, sea eagles). Ubirr and Nourlangie rock art sites at sunset. Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls in the dry season (4WD only).

Where to stay

Cooinda Lodge for the wetlands base. Bamurru Plains (in the Mary River floodplain, just outside Kakadu) is the safari-style luxury upgrade.
