Kepler Track

One of NZ's nine Great Walks — 60km loop from Te Anau through beech forest, above the bushline along the Kepler ridge, and back via the Iris Burn. Three or four days, hut-based.
Walking it
Most walk it Te Anau → Mt Luxmore Hut → Iris Burn Hut → Moturau Hut → Rainbow Reach. Day-walkers can do the Luxmore section as a steep return. Huts must be booked.
